Subject Matter Expert / Senior Subject Matter Expert - MI

To deliver quality MI and analysis within required timescales and working to an agreed Internal and Client Management Information Schedule.

Key Accountabilities


  • Develop Dashboards/ Reports using Power BI
  • Produce quality BI dashboards as required by client and internal management group
  • Work closely with UK BI team
  • Produce BI within the specified timelines as defined in the Management Information Schedule
  • Produce high quality, clear and concise data in Presentation / Microsoft PowerPoint / Excel format as per the Client MI schedule using graphs, charts and pivot tables as defined.
  • Respond to and complete ad hoc requests from internal and client management teams
  • Continual data cleansing and ensure accuracy of MI/ BI
  • To deal with the process queries, investigate and provide suitable solutions
  • Develop new reports in liaise with UK team as required by Client
  • Achieve Process Improvement
  • Any other ad hoc activity as required by the business


  • Liaise with UK team to ensure the BI dashboard is produced as expected and within timelines
  • Communicate with stakeholders for resolution of queries related to the produced dashboards
  • Liaise with UK team for transition of new reports
  • Cater to ad hoc requests from Hays and client management teams

TARGETS, KPI’s, SLA’s - Follow and aim to exceed targets and KPI’s for the process

  • Ensure awareness and understanding of sprint cycles and related KPI’s / SLA’s. Ensure the performance meets expectations

Knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience:


  • Strong knowledge of SQL database (Tables, queries, views)
  • Strong Power BI experience
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI desktop and Power BI Services
  • Expertise in DAX, measures, calculated columns
  • Strong Data Modelling experience
  • Excellent communication skills both - Verbal and written
  • Commitment to professional standards
  • Time management and organisation
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently complete tasks
  • Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized
  • The ability and willingness to learn and absorb knowledge quickly
  • Good Email & Phone Etiquettes

  • Prior experience on Power BI and SQL of 2-3Years
