Role title: Senior Software Engineer-Liferay
Reports to: Project Manager

Role Purpose: The role forms part of a growing team and expanding programme within India for existing Global team. The ideal candidate should have strong development and support of content management sites using Lifeary platform. You should be passionate about technology and possess very good analytical, development, and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate effectively.
Key Accountabilities
Key Activities/ Decision Areas
Exposure of Developing LR configuration
Strong exposure in LR preferably Liferay DXP 7.0
Understanding of Agile Framework
Knowledge of Java technology and Elastic Search.
Handling new requirements for Liferay components and change request in various part of the system which service the business.
Will be responsible for Development and guiding the developers ensuring quality within the Liferay team.
Communication with the team leads for any technical / business requirements.
Lead and coach scrum adoption. Plan scrum implementation
Person should be responsible to facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
Need to have experience in estimation and planning of a project.
Experience in handling changes in Development and Production Database Servers.
Analysing and resolving production issues independently or leading the team to do so.
Creating and maintaining of all necessary documentation associated to developed and supported applications.
Support throughout test and implementation

Knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience:
Total experience should be more than 5+ years.
3+ years’ experience in Liferay Development (7.0 DXP or higher)
2+ years’ experience in Liferay portal (7.0 DXP or higher)
5+ years’ experience in Java.
2+ years’ experience in developing REST API’s in Liferay
3+ years’ experience in Unit testing.
2+ years’ experience in Client-side scripting technologies - JQuery
Working experience in Agile Methodologies.
Working experience with DB technologies
Understanding of DevOps concept.
Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Aptitude for innovation, working independently and thinking ‘outside of the box’.
