Senior Software Engineer- MI(MSBI)

This position is responsible for the development and design of various Business Intelligence reports, dashboards, scoreboards, and other solutions for customer and business needs. Develops, installs, manages, and maintains Business Intelligence solutions. Designs dashboards and scorecards to support strategic initiatives. Designs and Develops operational reports using Microsoft Business Intelligence stack (Sql Server, SSRS, SSAS and SSIS). Supports business in development of ad-hoc reporting using BI tools.

Responsibilities:

• Defining the physical BI architecture to support scalability and high availability
• Planning and supporting technical upgrades
• Conducting proof of concepts and performance tests
• Leading white-boarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings as needed
• Work independently or as part of a team to design and develop solutions using SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
• Design and develop Integration (ETL, ELT) processes using MS SQL Server 2008 SSIS, MDM or other related tools/technologies
• Collaborate across teams to standardize BI implementation(s)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Providing assistance to others in topics related to data management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must Have

• 1-3+ years of experience, specializing in BI solution architecture, design, and development.
• Programming experience, developing tailored BI solutions using BIDs
• Technical Specialization in: SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server and other related technologies
• Familiarity with database centric applications and VLDB/data warehouse solutions
• Experience with Agile solution delivery
• Data Warehousing and Data Modeling, specifically building / understanding star schema based data marts
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques

Advantageous

• Microsoft BI (Business Intelligence) certification a plus
• Experience with Oracle 10g, 11g
• Experience in Java and .NET behaviour at a database level.
